Artisan Fragrances
At Eden Ridge Acres, we prioritize safety and the natural purity of every ingredient in our milk soaps. Our commitment to integrity is reflected in our thoughtfully chosen ingredients, and we transparently disclose all components, especially those that may appear daunting. While some fragrance oils might contain synthetic ingredients, we exclusively use premium refined grade fragrance oils that are (non-irritating, non-sensitizing and non-photosensitizing) and free from parabens, phthalates, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, synthetic colors or dyes. When we choose to use fragrances we purchase from choice suppliers with SDS documentation and who comply with the standards established by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), which categorizes bar and liquid soaps under Category 9 (for rinse-off products). IFRA generally allows a maximum safe skin limit of 5% to 23% of fragrance oil use in recipes. We ensure that our fragrance concentrations remain significantly below the IFRA safe threshold for skin contact, and range around a modest 2%, with a maximum of 3% per our small batch recipes. For those with known fragrance sensitivities, we suggest performing a patch test on a small area first when using soaps with fragrance.
