Tableside LiVING

for local families

For generations families have bonded at their tables with healthy and delicious farm-fresh produce and high quality meats.

We’re a small family farm with a big passion for keeping that tradition alive for our local Iowa families, by growing and raising foods you can confidently eat.

From seed to harvest, we grow our produce using an organically grown philosophy that values a natural and healthy way of living – one that enhances and supports a healthy lifestyle for generations to come.

Our animals are hormone and antibiotic free, and are raised on good-old fashioned pasture, daily sunshine andare provided with nutritious complete diets and the freedom to roam as they were naturally created to do. We use sustainable practices that ensure naturally grown, nutrient-rich, flavorful meat & eggs.

We’re providing Des Moines and surrounding local communities with a delectable pleasing array of organically grown seasonal farm-fresh produce; fruits, veggies, herbs, raw honey,pasture-raised meat & eggs, along with a growing selection of teas and natural home goods and essentials.

WHAT WE GROW

We grow what our family loves to eat!

Every crop we grow and animal we raise,
is something that we
personally serve
on our own farm table, and we love sharing with families like yours, the bounty and the benefits that come from eating like our great-grandparents did.

Farm Beginnings

With different types of farming in both of our backgrounds, we’re both 1st generation market garden farmers.

Our passion for growing things was birthed in each of our lives, due to each of us having special family members who shared their love for animals, plants and farming.

In 2003, on just 2 acres in Western Iowa – Eden Ridge was in it’s very beginning stages…

EVERY EGG SHOULD

taste this good!

Our happy hens (chickens & ducks) feed and roam all over our farm. Their diet is supplemented with our very own blended non-gmo feed and good old-fashioned sunshine. Our little ladies are hormone and vaccine free. They get tucked into their cozy coop in the evenings to help keep them safe from country wild-life, while allowing them to lay their eggs of many colors with dark golden yolks.

DID YOU KNOW?

Grazing promotes the return of native naturally grown plants – including red and white clover.

The environmental impact of livestock production is reduced with pasture-raised animals: Less fossil fuel is required to raise and harvest feed or spread manure.

Purchase Eden Ridge pastured meat from our family farm, and you will receive the reassurance and confidence that you’re making a compassionate, healthy choice for you and your family.

Teas from the farm

We make our own signature tea blends in small batches. But did you know? Many of the herbs and ingredients we use in our tea blends,
are grown directly here at the farm?

Put the kettle on, because that’s something to get excited about!
