STORAGE TIPS
The Greens
Are edible! Separate the greens from your radishes as soon as you get them home. You can store your greens in a plastic bag with a paper towel to keep your greens fresh if you plan on eating them. When ready to eat your greens, gently rinse before eating.
The Radishes
Separate your greens from your radishes to ensure longer storage life to your tasty bulbs. Scrub the radishes, cut the bottom tips off (trust us on this!) This extra step keeps your radishes at least a week longer! Rinse in cold water, and place paper towel in airtight container or plastic bag. Put one layer of radishes in, then layer with paper towel, and add another layer of radishes etc. Radishes should last 1-2 weeks this way.
Farmers Wife Tip:
Radishes are just as tasty cooked! Cooking takes the bite out and can be used in many casserole dishes, in place of potatoes for your pot roast or as an added addition! The Radish greens are perfect in salads or sandwiches, pickled, sautéed, roasted in pesto or radish green chips!
