This 19th century French heirloom has a succulent flavor that is perfect for pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, soups and many other baked pumpkin dishes or suitable for some fabulous fall decorating! This beauty of an heirloom is deeply lobed, resembling a sculpted wheel of cheese with a strong handle, Ranges 12″ to 18″ in diameter with an avg. weight 8–15 lb, 1 pumpkin.

Pumpkins can normally be stored for 30 – 90 days. For long term storage, wash the pumpkins in a very soap. This will help destroy bacteria which may cause the fruit to rot. Allow the pumpkin to dry completely. Store the pumpkin in a cool, dry and dark place (if possible). Avoid hot and humid places, even if storing for only a couple of weeks. Pumpkins are best stored on a board or piece of cardboard. Do not store the fruit on a cement floor, as they tend to rot.

Excellent for pies, soups, stews and roasted vegetable platters, purees, and baby food.
