STORAGE TIPS
Make sure you wash and pat dry. Celery is really robust and often lasts for several weeks, although we recommend consuming it within two. Store it in the fridge and leave the stalks attached to the base until you need to use them.
Farmers wife tip:
Celery actually freezes well. You can rinse and chop up raw celery then freeze it on baking sheets for a few hours before transferring to plastic bags. It will keep in the freezer for up to 6 months.
HOW TO USE
Celery is very versatile and can be used in so many delicious recipes. Celery is perfect for juicing, pickling, use as part of a relish, roasted, thrown in stir-fry or salad, perfect pairing for soups and stews, eaten raw with dip, or with yummy ‘aunts on a log’ snack for the kids.
